Work, etc

I didn’t get a ton done this weekend. I was pretty lazy.

I missed around with Marie Antoinette, getting her cleaned up for Dragoncon. I’m wanting to walk in the parade in her this year, so I played around with ways to bustle it. This is what I ended up with:

Playing around with how to bustle my Marie Antoinette dress for Dragoncon 2014. I had wanted to wear it in the parade, which is why I was doing this, but changed my mind. I still wore it bustled for the new TARDIS version tho.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Here's the new TARDIS underskirt with the bustled dress. It's still in progress. I made this similar to my other skirt, acrylic paints on cotton.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I sewed the ribbons on last night for that, so that part is all set. I’m shopping for a new hairpiece so I can use my own hair with it, and I’m going to make a new hat, too. Whoo.

And I wrestled with Anne some more.
I got the outer sleeves rolled up the way I wanted and sewn into place, and got the trim/jewel sewn on.
My appliques still haven’t shown up for the neckline, so I culled what I could off of Belle (there were 5 hidden around the skirt that really weren’t all that visible, so I could sacrifice them) and went ahead and stitched that on in the front. If my other ones show up, they are very similar, and they can go along the top of the shoulders and the back. I still have a lot of beading and jewels and stuff to sewn on top of it. I’ve got to shop for some more jewel looking stuff. Should have looked at Michael’s went I went yesterday.

But anyway I also fray-checked the skirt, finished the edge of the undersleeves, got the zipper in, and made the back piece for covering up the lace-up on the back.

First run of decorations for the neck trim. I stole all these appliques off my Belle ballgown, but I ended up not being happy the look and removed them (and they never went back on Belle, either. Lazy!)Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Anne Boleyn costume in-progress. Close up of the original neckline trim, along with a jewel I found I wanted to use in the center.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I’ve got to put it on tonight and mark where to attach the undersleeves so they’re the right length, and get the back panel marked, too.

Blech I’m so ready to move onto another project, but I don’t have room for it with Anne taking up so much space right now LOL
